The closure of EBR marks a sad day in American Sportsbikes. Now the only one left is the ludicrously priced Motus V4.
Eric Buell's Lazarus taxon esque cycle is somewhat like the Italian SUPERBIKE manufacturer BIMOTA.
BIMOTA created the crazy and revolutionary Tesi 3D. It doesn't have the conventional "fork" setup like most bikes do. It's suspension is more car-like.
Buell was famous (and notorious) Zero Torsional Load Perimeter Floating Front Disk Brake.
Bimota is an on again-off again company, just like Buell's ventures.
But BIMOTA limits production, avoiding the risks of over exerting its facilities.
Should Buell Perdue the same measures?
I don't know. But EBR didn't even show at one of the biggest auto shows in my area (St. Pete FOS). But MV Agusta and Aprilla made a (relatively) huge showing. They tried to appeal to their audience (young people who like flashy/sexy bikes). Bimota was a no show as they are "off" this year (and only 50 Tesi 3Ds are in the states). Could this lack of recognition cause a sales deficit.

I mentioned this before:
They're filing chapter 128, which is a state chapter similar to bankruptcy (but not ACTUALLY bankruptcy) only available to residents of WI.

also, this MAYBE part of the plan. Make it easier for Hero to pick them up, and then re-market them as a racing devision. Thing something along the lines of
Hero motorcycles.
Erik Buell racing devision.
